WHAT'S THE JOB?

Utility Janitors are a vital asset to our team and play an integral role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of site. Utility Janitors work with the Lodge Manager to follow the company standards for safety, quality, and site cleanliness.

  • Clean and sanitize all common areas, including the gym, rec room, boot room and front lobby
  • Garbage and recycling collection and removal
  • Floor care, including sweeping and mopping
  • Clean and sanitize all public washrooms
  • Clean and sanitize management offices as well as the front desk area
  • Removing garbage from dorms and disposing at designated garbage site daily
  • Collection, distribution, and management of laundry in camp
  • Planned utility checks on assets in camp
  • Troubleshooting utility issues as they arise (plugged toilets, leaky faucets, broken or damaged cosmetic equipment)
  • Replacing doorknobs, lightbulbs, and other items as required
  • Cutting keys and testing keys in all doors as required
  • Hanging or removing items from walls
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and replacing filters as required
  • Transportation of staff
  • Shuttle Driver
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Valid BZ license required
  • Experience using light power tools required
  • Experience working in busy environments
  • Ability to work independently and remain on task
  • Previous hotel or camp experience an asset
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Push, Pull, Lift up to 50lbs
