Job Description

Position Function - Under the direction of the Director and/or Designee, performs assigned duties to support the Utility division to ensure proper customer service and efficient and effective clerical support.

Possible exposure to dust, mold, and electricity. May require participation in outdoor activities and/or events that could result in the exposure to outdoor allergens, exhaust, fumes, humidity, and/or extreme or inclement weather. Requirements/Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesRequired knowledge and experience is normally obtained through the completion of a high school diploma or GED, and one (1) to three (3) years of work related experience. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.Ability to type, read and write letters, emails, etc.Ability to establish and maintain effective working and professional relationships with City and other public employees, public officials, contractors, consultants, vendors, and the general public. Must have cash handling experience.Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations and/or analyses.Must possess excellent customer services skills.Must be able to communicate and present oneself in a professional manner, and have the ability to successfully work with all age groups and backgrounds and needs.Must exhibit attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
Must posses strong organization skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced work environment.Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver license. Must pass all post offer pre-employment processes and/or procedures, to include but not limited to Drug Screen, Physical Examination, and applicable Background Checks.
