To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research.

In this role, you will support the resolution of fixed income trading by identifying, executing, and booking internal and external transactions across front‑office trading systems. You will perform cost/benefit analysis on over‑borrows, manage intercompany bond settlements, and help optimize regulatory fail penalties under TMPG and CSDR frameworks. The team is actively moving forward with AI and automation and seeks someone who can leverage technology to improve processes and decision‑making.
To be successful as a Utilities Trading Assistant, you should have:
Trade identification, booking, and settlement experience across front‑office systems
Prior knowledge of fails management, over‑borrow analysis, and cost/benefit execution
Intermediate Excel skills including VBA; strong Microsoft Office proficiency
Programming or coding familiarity to support automation and AI initiatives
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Fixed Income product knowledge and market understanding
FINRA licensed or desire to obtain
Prior financial industry experience

This role is located in New York, NY.
Minimum Salary: $70,000
Maximum Salary: $100,000
