The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department (RPU) is accepting applications for the position of Utilities Resources Analyst or Resources Analyst Trainee to fill one (1) vacancy in the Power Resources Division. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.
Under general supervision, a Utilities Resources Analyst/Resources Analyst Trainee will participate in the City's resources Contracts and agreements in accordance with the direction and goals established by management; will participate in regulatory, legal, and project administration efforts; will support real-time and day-ahead wholesale power market operations; will assist with technical resource planning and production cost modeling studies and will perform related work as assigned.
$103,488.00 - $125,772.00 Annually
$89,364.00 - $98,556.00 Annually
*Utilities Resources Analyst Trainees must meet the minimum requirements of the Utilities Resources Analyst within 12 months of appointment.

Education: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, business, finance, computer science, environmental science or other field which could provide the necessary skills.
Experience: At least one year of progressively responsible experience in resource planning, market operations, regulatory matters, generation facilities operation or in a related technical field.
Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, business, finance, computer science, environmental science or other field which could provide the necessary skills.
Experience: At least two years of progressively responsible experience in resource planning, market operations, regulatory matters, generation facilities operation or in a related technical field.
Education: Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, business, finance, computer science, environmental science or other field which could provide the necessary skills.
Experience: At least four years of progressively responsible experience in resource planning, market operations, regulatory matters, generation facilities operation or in a related technical field.
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience: At least six years of progressively responsible experience in resource planning, market operations, regulatory matters, generation facilities operation or in a related technical field.
