SALARY: $106,400 - $126,350, bonus eligible & long-term incentive eligible

SHIFT: Flexibility and availability to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends.

The Utilities Reliability Manager will lead, coach, and develop relationships with utility operators and maintenance team members while monitoring the Brewery’s Utilities plans. Attending department meetings, creating and executing action plans to meet critical metric, influencing change, and growing technically and as a leader are all elements of this great opportunity at the Houston Brewery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own department reliability performance, including responsibility for the Reliability Maintenance Index (RMI) and overall asset health

  • Lead maintenance strategy and execution, including:

    • Mechanical and Electrical maintenance

    • Outage (OH) planning, execution, and prioritization

    • Ensuring maintenance activities are aligned with reliability and operational priorities

  • Own High Voltage (HV) maintenance programs, ensuring all HV systems, routines, and work practices are executed safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable standards at both the department and plant level

  • Manage Maintenance Improvement (MI) pipeline, including:

    • MI backlog prioritization

    • Execution of MI projects to improve reliability, efficiency, and asset performance

  • Oversee third-party labor (3PL), ensuring contractor safety, performance, and alignment with site standards and expectations

  • Manage maintenance financial performance, including:

    • Maintenance spend tracking and control

    • Leading the Latest Estimate (LE) process

    • Identifying and delivering cost optimization opportunities

  • Lead maintenance performance and alignment routines, including:

    • Maintenance one-on-ones (O2Os)

    • Operations N-Block routines
      Ensuring strong coordination, accountability, and communication between Maintenance and Operations

  • Serve as liaison for capital projects, representing the department to ensure new installations meet reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness standards

  • Own permitting and PSM/MOC processes, ensuring all maintenance and project work is executed in full compliance with safety, environmental, and process safety management requirements

  • Facilitate equipment troubleshooting and technical problem-solving, coordinating cross-functional resources to quickly diagnose issues, remove barriers, and drive effective resolution to minimize downtime and recurrence

  • Oversee Flex Backlog execution, ensuring effective prioritization and completion through self-scheduling or team coordination

  • Support and coordinate maintenance planning and execution, including:

    • Coordinating maintenance outages

    • Ensuring process readiness for planned work

    • Prioritizing maintenance activities based on operational needs and outputs from problem-solving routines

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to optimize process performance, resolve system-level issues, and align priorities

  • Accountable for department performance results (PHE, UMS, and other KPIs), including monitoring performance, identifying gaps, developing action plans, and delivering sustained improvements

  • Own 5S and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance, sustainment, and continuous improvement across the department

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred, technical degree required

  • Experience in Utilities preferred

  • Strong leadership skills and team orientation; ability to lead change

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical problem-solving skills

  • Highly focused on results and providing a structured, systematic approach to delivering solutions

  • Detail oriented, schedule driven and strong planning skills needed for handling multiple projects

  • Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Mechanically or electrically inclined to understand the utilities process

  • Belt methodology and/or lean methods experience a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
