Job Description

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an UT Immersion Technician to support operations in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate immersion ultrasonic equipment and automated testing systems with minimal supervision.
  • Inspection & Evaluation: Conduct ultrasonic examinations on materials and components, select appropriate techniques, and interpret/evaluate results against specific acceptance criteria to detect discontinuities or corrosion.
  • Documentation: Accurately record inspection data, document findings clearly, maintain inspection traceability, and manage quality records.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform minor equipment adjustments and maintenance, adhere strictly to approved NDT procedures, and maintain a commitment to safety and quality compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work within a dedicated inspection cell team to coordinate workflow, communicate results, and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • Education & Certification: High school diploma/GED with preferred technical training, alongside NAS 410 Level I/II certification and documented qualifications.
  • Experience & Skills: Hands-on immersion ultrasonic experience, with systems like Matec, ScanMaster and OKOS/ODIS, strong understanding of theory, and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and quality systems.
  • Physical Demands: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and meet necessary visual acuity standards.
