We committed to spend £16bn in the ten years to 2032, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.
These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

Generating insights that feed into all stages of product development, from discovery to ongoing iteration, in line with product roadmaps
Working with teams to synthesise clear and actionable findings and helping product managers to assess the risks and value of product and service features
Utilising qualitative and quantitative data to create a rich picture of user behaviour and develop ways of evaluating user experience of products and services
Ensuring long-term value from our user research by developing our knowledge base and actively contributing insights to build our overall understanding of our users
Coach other user-centred practitioners to assure and improve research practice
Being an active part of our user experience community, including presenting at meetups and leading on aspects of practice
