Your next opportunity awaits at Fletcher Jones Management West! We are hiring a Used Vehicle Buyer to join our team!

The Used Vehicle Buyer is responsible for acquiring used vehicles and ensuring appropriate inventory levels. The Used Vehicle Buyer will negotiate pricing, understand vehicle condition and the subsequent costs involved in reconditioning, and make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company including determining reconditioning costs and retail values. The Used Vehicle Buyer is expected to understand retail trends and participate in the inventory planning process, organizing workloads on and off-site.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire vehicles from auctions, private parties and dealer sources as needed including managing the timely pick-up of vehicles and ensuring purchase is logged correctly and all accompanying paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Asses and fill the needs of all Fletcher Jones dealerships for pre-owned inventory.
  • Strategically develop pre-owned inventory stocking plans and shift to changing market demands and needs.
  • Maintain a positive front end gross on purchased vehicles

Qualifications
Valid CA Sales License
Valid Auction License
Valid Driver’s License
Moderate understanding of Microsoft Excel

Pay $120,000 - $250,000 / year is the expected total annual earnings after factoring in all forms of compensation including minimum guarantee, commissions, bonuses, benefits (vacation and sick), etc. Employees in this position will be paid a minimum guarantee of $68,640 per year. Commissions are expected to range from $55,200 to $185,200 per year based on performance.
