General Purpose:
The Used Equipment Manager is responsible for managing company used equipment risk through strategic inventory analysis, market valuation, and proactive acquisition and disposition strategies. This role drives alignment between inventory position, sales initiatives, and company priorities by leveraging market data, strengthening dealer and wholesale relationships, and developing programs that optimize equipment movement and profitability. The Used Equipment Manager reports to the Used Equipment Strategy Manager.
Essential Functions:

- Conduct equipment valuations using market data, tools, and sales input to support accurate pricing and positioning.
- Manage inventory strategy by monitoring levels, identifying gaps, and supporting repricing and model mix optimization.
- Develop and maintain dealer and wholesale relationships to support equipment acquisition and movement.
- Assist in marketing and advertising efforts by identifying inventory and supporting lead generation initiatives.
- Assist sales programs and incentive design to drive inventory turnover and revenue.
- Support Early Order Program (EOP) strategies through targeted pricing, inventory focus, and sales alignment.
- Source and acquire used equipment based on inventory needs, market demand, and target pricing.
- Align decisions with company initiatives by maintaining awareness of strategic priorities and programs.
- Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of AVE-PLP.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of AVE-PLP’s DNA.
- Strong knowledge of used equipment markets, valuation methods, and pricing strategies.
- Understanding of inventory management principles, including turn, aging, and model mix optimization.
- Ability to analyze data and leverage tools and technology to support pricing, acquisition, and sales decisions.
- Knowledge of marketing and sales strategies, including inventory promotion and lead generation.
- Ability to develop and implement sales programs and incentive structures aligned with business goals.
- Strong, positive communication and collaboration skills to align with sales teams and cross-functional partners.
- Working knowledge of company initiatives, programs, and strategic priorities, and ability to apply them in decision-making.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Experience:
- Five years of experience in sales and/or inventory management is required.
- Experience in agriculture equipment sales or inventory management is preferred.
- Wholesale experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.

- Work is generally performed in a professional office environment.
- Travel to stores, customer locations, meetings, and occasional overnight trainings is required.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the work location.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Moderate physical activity required by moving and positioning objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
