USC – Accounts Receivable Analyst

The Accounting Analyst position is an in-office role critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple business units. The ideal candidate is one with strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a collaborative mindset to support strategic financial decisions.
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Additionally, performs detailed variance analysis, reconcile accounts, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to audit readiness. This role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, working closely with cross-functional teams across various business units, providing financial insights and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Pay Range
Range $23.00 - $25.00 USD
Internal Relationships
The Accounts Receivable Analyst serves as a key financial partner across all levels of the organization, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with Managers, Directors, and Controllers. This role also works closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to deliver meaningful insights into financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making through detailed variance analysis and forecasting.
External Relationships
The Accounting Analyst may interact with state and local government agencies to address matters related to taxation issues. This responsibility requires a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and effective communication to ensure timely and accurate resolution of financial obligations.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Generate customer invoices timely and accurately
• Bill invoices, rebills, and credits to the customer
• Review of monthly revenue generated by invoices
• Create purchase requisitions, obtain approvals, and submit proof of delivery
• Support ad-hoc requests, reports, and projects as requested

◦ Avoids injury resulting from manual handling tasks, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques
Technical Competencies
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient at analyzing & interpreting data, with a willingness to ask questions
• Above average Microsoft Office application skills, specifically in Excel
• Experience with Microsoft ERP software is highly desirable

• Able to handle a large workload under time constraints and tough circumstances

Minimum Education and Experience
• 4-year degree and billing experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications
• An analytical mind with good math skills
• Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act or FLSA)
• Diploma/BSc/ BA in accounting, finance or relevant field not required but is a PLUS
• CPP or FPC certification a PLUS.
