Designation: U.S. Tax Accountant
Work Schedule: 3 PM to 12 AM (May vary as per the
client’s requirement)
Location: Ahmedabad (Onsite)
Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior U.S. Tax Accountant with strong
expertise in both U.S. taxation and accounting functions. This role involves
managing tax compliance while ensuring accuracy of financial records,
reconciliations, and financial reporting to support tax filings and client
advisory.
Key Responsibilities
Taxation:
Prepare and review U.S. tax returns: Forms 1120, 1120-S,
1065, 990, 1040
Handle federal, state, and local tax compliance
Prepare and file sales tax returns
Manage international filings (Forms 5471, 8865, 5472 –
preferred)
Respond to IRS and state tax notices
Conduct tax research and provide compliance/advisory support
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Maintain and review books of accounts in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Review and finalize trial balance, P&L, and balance
sheet before tax filings
Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, and
journal entries
Work on month-end and year-end closing processes
Identify discrepancies and ensure clean financials for
accurate tax reporting
Experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) or similar
accounting software
Hands-on with U.S. tax software (Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect,
Lacerte, CCH Access, etc.)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
Qualifications & Experience
CA / CPA / EA preferred
4+ years of experience in U.S. taxation and accounting
Experience working with a U.S.-based CPA firm is a strong
advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
