As part of the Rare Hematology/Endocrine franchise, the US Sickle Cell Team aims to meaningfully improve the lives and treatment of individuals living with Sickle Cell.The Sickle Cell Portfolio represents a growth opportunity for Specialty Care and Pfizer, with one asset in phase 3 development (osivelotor) and one previously marketed product (Oxbryta) currently under regulatory review.
The Sickle Cell Launch and Access Integration Lead will be a critical leader for the US Sickle Cell Disease portfolio. This individual will play a key role by helping to develop, coordinate and execute an overarching go-to-market strategy by thoroughly understanding the sickle cell disease patient journey and partnering with cross-functional partners to enable access and ensure adherence to medication as appropriate. In addition, this role will be responsible for core strategic activities including operating/brand planning lead and overseeing product launch activities in partnership with Global and cross functional colleagues.
This role requires the ability to prioritize in order to advance key portfolio imperatives that aim to maximize patient access and adherence within a unique and dynamic landscape. This role is critical in developing and managing compliant resources, strategies and solutions to educate, enhance the patient experience and improve access to therapy. In addition, this role requires strong strategic and analytical skills, a passion for supporting patients, a problem-solving mindset, focus on innovation and a proven track record of exceptional cross-functional collaboration and leadership. This position reports to the Senior Director, US Sickle Cell Disease Marketing Team Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Launch Lead Responsibilities
Planning, leading and executing launch readiness for the US region
Developing the US go to market strategy through collaboration with cross functional and brand team partners including oversight of local marketplace activation plans
Leading near, mid, and long-term strategic planning for US SCD portfolio including guiding the development of Operating Plans
Monitoring competitive landscape and developing communications/action plans
Forecasting lead in partnership with IIS and Finance
Supporting supply forecast in partnership with PGS team
Overseeing internal and external communications, as necessary
Access Integration Lead Responsibilities
Leading strategy and coordination for all patient access solutions and support services (i.e. patient hub, Specialty Pharmacy, copay card, etc.) in partnership with GAV cross functional partners (i.e. USMA, Specialty Access Solutions, Specialty Pharmacy, etc.)
Providing support, educational materials and access training for Field Reimbursement Team in partnership with Patient Solutions team
Partnering with Marketing, Medical, USMA, Specialty Access & Solutions, SPP, Patient Solutions, and Legal teams to develop innovative patient access strategies and solutions to overcome anticipated and realized hurdles to patient access
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required, or Master's degree and 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 5+ years of experience required
Demonstrated initiative, strong problem solving, decision making and leadership skills
Strong strategic skills, with the ability to translate strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level
Strong business acumen & negotiation skills and ability to effectively lead and influence a large cross functional/indirect team
Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively
Strong project management skills/experience
Pharmaceutical marketing experience and strong knowledge of the US healthcare market required
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups
Strong analytical skills; detail and action-oriented
Creative and agile learner
Experience representing opportunities and brand plans to senior leadership
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, agility and comfort in prioritizing, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or MPH preferred
Rare disease and/or specialty experience strongly preferred
Previous Sickle Cell Disease experience preferred
Prior launch and patient access/payer experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
