Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  • At least 5–10 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably supporting multiple clients or business entities.
  • Strong experience in full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including:
    • Chart of Accounts management
    • Bank feed automation and rule setup
    • Reconciliations and journal entries
    • Financial reporting and workflow management
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial reporting, payroll, sales tax, and client account management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Accounting Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations for multiple business clients.
  • Review and maintain accurate general ledgers, journal entries, and financial records.
  • Perform and review bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Identify and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies and cleanup issues.
  • Support implementation and standardization of accounting processes and workflows.

QuickBooks Management:


  • Serve as the firm's primary resource and super user for QuickBooks Online.

  • Manage client file setup, chart of accounts design, and system cleanup.

  • Troubleshoot bookkeeping and QuickBooks system-related issues.

  • Train and support staff on QuickBooks best practices and efficiencies.

  • Assist with integrations between QuickBooks and third-party applications.

Team Leadership & Client Management:


  • Supervise and support bookkeeping staff and offshore resources.

  • Review work prepared by junior team members for accuracy and completeness.

  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams regarding accounting records, missing documents, and transaction clarifications.

  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
