US Medical Affairs Advancement Specialist

The US Medical Affairs (USMA) Advancement Specialist will support the USMA Advancement Architect in fostering a performance-oriented culture and equipping the Medical Affairs team with essential skills and competencies. This role is crucial in assisting with the implementation of career development programs, ensuring they align with the strategic vision of the organization and enhance individual professional growth. The Specialist will contribute to identifying key competencies, administering development initiatives, and facilitating continuous learning within the Medical Affairs team to support the overall organizational goals.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, USMA Advancement Specialist, are to:

  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of career advancement programs tailored for USMA colleagues.
  • Assist in assessing current career pathways and identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.
  • Administer programs for skill enhancement, leadership development, growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support the maintenance of performance evaluation frameworks.
  • Help manage and organize a comprehensive database of career development resources, including training materials, workshops, and external courses.
  • Assist in conducting assessments and surveys to gather feedback on the effectiveness of career development programs.
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external consultants/trainers delivering specialized expertise and training programs.
  • Research industry trends and best practices in career development to inform USMA's programs.
  • Support the implementation of the USMA mentorship strategy.
  • Ensure that career development initiatives align with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
  • Assist in tracking and preparing reports on the progress and outcomes of career development programs for leadership.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in talent development, training coordination, education, or a related field, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support senior leadership initiatives.
  • Aptitude for learning and applying insights from industry trends and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of performance metrics and feedback loops.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare).
  • 1-3 years of experience in talent development, training coordination, education, or a related field, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $124,960-177,440. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
