Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The US Hemophilia franchise is one of the most rapidly growing businesses across Pfizer Biopharma. The franchise is building on the strong legacy of Pfizer in the Hemophilia space and the indication expansion launch of HYMPAVZI, an innovative anti-TFPI treatment, now approved for patients 6+ with Hemophilia A or B with or without inhibitors. HYMPAVZI is a Pfizer priority brand with high visibility, still in its critical growth days of launch. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the acceleration of a breakthrough product on a highly talented, innovative, and patient-focused team.

The US HYMPAVZI HCP Medical Education & Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketing Director is a strategic leadership role and a key member of the HYMPAVZI HCP marketing team. Reporting to the US HYMPAVZI HCP Team Lead, the Director owns the end-to-end medical education, peer-to-peer, and KOL engagement strategy for the brand – setting the strategic direction, platform, and messaging architecture that shape how the medical and scientific community understands and adopts HYMPAVZI. Working closely with the broader HYMPAVZI brand team, the hemophilia portfolio and factor team, and cross-functional partners across Medical, Market Access, Sales, Insights, Thought Leader Engagement, and Review Committee, the Director translates scientific and commercial priorities into an integrated Med Ed/P2P plan that accelerates awareness and appropriate use during a pivotal period of accelerated growth. Core accountabilities include leading the KOL engagement strategy; owning the Med Ed, speaker program, and clinical experience roundtable (CER) platform (setting messaging strategy, content development, and operational excellence); directing congress and symposium strategy and content; serving as the commercial lead for Pfizer Hemophilia Day; leading a robust and systematic patient identification strategy; owning US competitive intelligence for the franchise; and serving as the lead partner for the Med Ed agency relationship, inclusive of project and budget management. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape the strategic trajectory of a breakthrough, priority launch and to lead HCP medical education end-to-end.

The ideal candidate is a commercial leader with a proven track record of setting strategy, leading cross-functional teams and agency partners, and delivering results in a fast-paced launch environment. He/she brings strong executive presence, the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders, and deep experience translating scientific evidence into compelling medical education and peer-to-peer engagement. Experience in specialty care, rare disease, or hematology is strongly preferred.

  • KOL engagement strategy lead – Own and lead the end-to-end KOL engagement strategy for HYMPAVZI from the brand team partnering closely with Hemophilia Thought Leader Engagement Liaisons; define engagement objectives and the advisory board plan; and ensure coordinated, compliant engagement across Marketing, Medical, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Medical Education, Speaker Program & CER lead – Set the strategic direction for the medical education platform – including messaging architecture, content development, and clinical experience roundtable (CER) programs – and lead the design, development, and operational excellence of national and regional peer-to-peer speaker program, partnering with sales leadership to drive impact and quality.
  • Symposium strategy lead – Direct HYMPAVZI symposium strategy, planning, and content development, including product theaters and integrated KOL engagement across major hemophilia congresses.
  • Med Ed agency management lead – Serve as the lead client partner and day-to-day strategic lead for the Med Ed agency relationship, setting scope, priorities, and creative/scientific direction; ensure high-quality deliverables and manage all projects within allocated budget.
  • Hemophilia Day commercial lead – Serve as the commercial lead for Pfizer Hemophilia Day, defining commercial objectives and content strategy in close partnership with the Hemophilia franchise and cross-functional partners.
  • Patient identification strategy lead – Own the HCP-facing systematic patient identification strategy and execution, developing the education, tools, programs and messaging that help providers recognize and appropriately identify patients who may benefit from HYMPAVZI. Includes defining and leading the peer-to-peer strategy to accelerate adoption in Hemophilia A, diagnosing barriers to uptake and mobilizing KOL and cross-functional engagement to shift treatment paradigms.
  • Competitive intelligence lead – Lead competitive intelligence for the franchise, monitoring the evolving hemophilia landscape and new market entrants and translating insights into strategic recommendations and brand-team actions in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
  • Lead the development and execution of HCP promotional and medical education assets with KOL involvement, ensuring scientific accuracy and strategic alignment across the customer journey.
  • Represent the Medical Education / P2P strategy within brand planning; contribute to and help shape the annual strategic and tactical operating plans.
  • Own and manage the Medical Education / P2P and agency budget, ensuring efficient allocation and strong return on investment across programs and partners.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance.
  • Be a patient-focused leader and exemplify the Pfizer values of Courage, Excellence, Equity, and Joy by fostering innovation, customer focus, personal accountability, and a commitment for results.
