The HematologyThought Leader Engagement Lead TLroleis a crucial leadership role with oversight of external KOL engagement for the Pfizer’s Hematology portfolioand serves as a key member of the US Hematology leadership team.

What You Will Achieve:

This individual will be the key lead with externalKOLstakeholders advising and engaging with the US Hematology teams and will be responsible for: leading a team of TLELs (3)and Marketing Enablement Manager(1), establishing and maintaining relationships, gathering insightsontreatment patterns and habits, and informing the development and execution of commercial strategies/tactics. This role reports to the US Hematology Vice President and will partner closely with Marketing (HCP, Consumer and Health Systems Leads), Sales, Key Account Directors and Regional Business Directors, Medical, and Patient Solutions.

How You Will Achieve It:

  • Lead team of3Thought Leader Engagement Liaisonsand 1 Marketing Enablement Manager

  • Lead and develop, in partnership with key functions within the commercial team, a ONE-Pfizer approach that fully integrates Opinion Leader & key stakeholder engagement plans inclusive of HCPs, Opinion Leaders and researchers, to maximize evolving Pfizer Hematology Portfolio in the US

  • Obtain therapeutic insights from Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to help advance portfolio strategies and decisions

  • Lead and direct insight-gathering from 1:1 engagements, small group meetings, and national and regional advisory boards for actionable commercial implementation

  • Oversee the development of Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement metrics such as post-engagement evaluation forms, post-congress Opinion Leader / PFE meeting evaluations, and annual top-tier opinion leader industry benchmark survey

  • Establish and maintain organizational processes and guidelines (in partnership with legal/compliance) to ensure a consistent and compliant approach to Opinion Leader and key stakeholder engagement

  • Create and maintain up-to-date US Hematology Opinion Leader & Key Stakeholder lists, and track engagements

  • Coordinate and help facilitate US speaking engagement opportunities (symposia, speaker tours)

  • Connecting Opinion Leaders and key stakeholders to the appropriate internal subject matter experts, as needed

  • Facilitate insights to develop (in partnership with cross functional stakeholders) local area action plans for implementation by cross functional team (i.e. KAD, PAL, Marketing, Policy, Medical)

  • Conduct and deliver a strategic assessment of the local market ecosystem to understand the barriers and opportunities with key stakeholders and inform programming to address those barriers

  • In collaboration with cross-functional partners, develop a plan for Opinion Leader & key commercial engagements at key congresses that helps align commercial presence and includes clear objectives and discussion points

  • Develop actionable metrics for presence at key congresses/meetings, and track vs. goals.

  • Work collaboratively and seamlessly with Pfizer cross-functional teams, including commercial (marketing), key account team, community engagement, patient affairs, policy, communications and medical

  • Build out local market plan that is informed by strategic assessment in partnership with other cross functional stakeholders

  • Collaborate with fellow TLELs to share best practices in cross-market programming, insights/learnings and challenges; and identify any gaps/white space in resources/programming for ongoing strategic planning

  • Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure local market insights are informing broader Pfizer strategic plans

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Hematology therapeutic areas, including diagnosis, patient care, current and future molecules, guidelines, etc.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of operating procedures to ensure that all activities are consistent with Pfizer’s highest standards for compliance and integrity.

Role Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in sales, marketing, medical affairs, strategy, new product launch, customer engagement or business development in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industries.

  • Experience in customer engagementwithinHematology highly preferred

  • Experience in the design, development and execution of opinion leader engagement programs inclusive of tracking performance against goals and course correcting when needed

  • Demonstrated success in influence/negotiationand proven ability to build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including key opinion leaders.

  • Proven leadership skills while working in cross-functional and matrix environment, with an ability to lead by influence.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including capabilities for uncovering deep customer insights, and assessing complex business/customer situations and translating insights into actionable plans.

  • Track record of working well across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Demonstrated creativity in development and partnership collaborations / innovative programs

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills-thinks&communicateswith the audience's needs first (i.e. ad boards).

  • BA/BS - degree required.

  • Frequent travel isrequiredwhich may be up to 50%+ of time.

  • Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Nice to have:

  • Advanced degree preferred. Science or clinical background a plus

  • Malignant Hematology experience, preference for lymphoma and myeloma

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel, weekend and evening engagements with congresses etc.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
