Embedded Recruitment Specialist (Engineering & Renewable Energy)
Location : Remote – South Africa
Working hours aligned to US time zones
Salary
Up to R48 000 per month
Straight salary model (no commission)
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a fast-growing renewable energy business in the United States that is scaling rapidly across engineering and technical functions. This is an embedded recruitment opportunity where you will operate as a true extension of the client’s internal hiring team, supporting high-volume engineering recruitment in a specialist renewable energy environment.
The company works closely with top engineering talent and is building teams across technical and operational functions to support continued growth within the clean energy sector.
This role is ideal for a recruiter or sourcing specialist who enjoys technical hiring, can confidently engage engineering talent, and thrives in a fast-paced embedded environment.
The Role
As an Embedded Recruitment Specialist, you will focus on sourcing and engaging engineering and technical professionals within the renewable energy sector. You will work closely with hiring managers and stakeholders, supporting hiring projects across multiple technical disciplines.
This is a highly delivery-focused role requiring strong sourcing capability, relationship management skills, and the confidence to hold technical conversations with candidates across varying levels of seniority.
Key Responsibilities
Source and engage engineering and technical talent within the renewable energy industry
Support end-to-end recruitment delivery across technical and non-technical roles
Conduct detailed screening and qualification conversations with candidates
Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for ongoing hiring needs
Partner closely with hiring managers as part of an embedded recruitment model
Manage candidate communication and interview coordination
Maintain accurate recruitment activity and pipeline reporting
Deliver a consistent flow of qualified candidate profiles weekly
Contribute to recruitment strategy and market insights within the engineering space
Working Hours
Remote role based in South Africa
Working hours aligned closely with US time zones
Flexibility around overlap hours may be considered, provided core collaboration hours are maintained


Requirements


Ideal Background
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience in embedded recruitment, RPO, or agency recruitment
Exposure to engineering, renewable energy, or technical recruitment environments
Strong sourcing capability across LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms
Confidence engaging technical candidates and understanding engineering terminology
Experience recruiting across various seniority levels, including senior technical hires
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Experience
Recruitment experience within renewable energy, clean tech, utilities, or engineering sectors
Experience supporting US-based clients or working US-aligned hours
Exposure to high-volume recruitment delivery
Experience working within embedded or onsite recruitment models
