ROLE

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled US corporate paralegal with a US attorney licence to join this fast growing corporate team as a corporate paralegal where they will have exposure to both high profile US IPOs and international M&A/VC/PE deals in supporting the partners, counsels and associates in the team. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be considered for promotion to associate within 3-4 years of joining this team.

DUTIES

• Support verification and due diligence exercises
• Attend meetings, take notes, conduct research and analyses, prepare reports
• Draft and file ancillary documents
• Liaise with client and intermediaries
• Assist with open and closing files, and other administrative tasks
• Perform other ad-hoc assignments

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in law from a highly regarded law school with excellent academics (min 2:1 / high GPA)
• Candidates must have passed the US bar
• All levels of experience from junior level (minimum one year) to more senior, career corporate paralegals
• Solid experience in working with elite international law firms, ideally from top US law firms, magic circle or global law firms
• Strong track record in working on US IPOs; additional exposure to big ticket M&A deals would be advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Strong work ethic, well organised with attention to detail, a good team player, proactive with strong sense of responsibility able to work to tight deadlines and unexpected volume of work
• Good command in MS Office and other IT legal software such as iManage and timekeeping software, is a must.
