Job Category: Criminal JusticeATTIC Correctional Services is currently recruiting for an Urinalysis Technician, to provide community based services to correctional clients following their release and transition back to their home community. This part time position is responsible for ensuring program compliance and following established procedures for drug and alcohol testing of correctional clients via breathalyzer and urinalysis screening. Testing is performed on a random basis or determined by the daily schedule received by clients via phone message. Observation of testing requires the Urinalysis Technician to be the same gender of the client providing sample. The person in this position must demonstrate professional conduct and respect for each client, maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Observe collection of urinalysis and breathalyzer testing.
- Accurately document each test sample and results, along with summaries and reports.
- Follow chain of custody protocol during testing procedure.
- Maintain and update client files on a regular basis.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility. Report any concerns to immediate supervisor.
- Inventory and stock supplies and testing equipment; order as needed.
- Perform clerical duties including filing, answering phone calls, and copying/scanning.

QualificationsEducation & Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Test collector must be same gender as client providing sample for observed urinalysis testing.
- Experience and/or education relating to corrections, healthcare, medical, clinical, or laboratory settings.
- Experience in record keeping.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to interact with staff, clients, and agents in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information.
- Strong decision making abilities and able to work independently.
