Job Description

We have an urgent requirement for a Male Disability Support Worker to assist a participant located in Upper Coomera. This role is crucial in providing support and facilitating community access activities, ensuring the participant's needs are met with dignity and respect. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of Australian culture, enabling them to build rapport and engage effectively with the participant.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the participant as required.
  • Assist the participant in community access activities, promoting independence and social inclusion.
  • Build rapport and engage confidently with the participant, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Adhere to all compliance requirements, including maintaining current Yellow Card, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, and Blue Card.

Qualifications:

  • Current Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current Blue Card
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Reliable Vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Australian culture

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
