Helper Rate: $18.33 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and patient helper to assist an elderly couple:

• Female (82): Uses a walker for mobility
• Male (83): Has dementia and requires supervision and guidance

The role focuses on ensuring safety, routine support, and light assistance with daily activities.

Care Responsibilities

• Assist with showers
• Provide general daily support and supervision
• Ensure home safety and fall prevention
• Assist the male client with getting onto a lawnmower (must be comfortable supervising and ensuring safe setup)
• Offer companionship and redirection as needed (due to dementia)

Schedule

• 2 days per week (flexible)
• 2-3 hours per day

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with dementia care is a plus
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and safety supervision
• Patient, attentive, and reliable
• Good judgment and awareness for safety, especially during outdoor activity

This role is ideal for a helper who can balance hands-on support with supervision, especially for a client with dementia, while also assisting with light physical tasks and maintaining a safe environment.
