Position open to physicians and APPs with five years of post-graduate clinical experience in pediatric acute care. Please see below for job summaries for each.

- Physician

The Provider Lead for Telehealth in Urgent Care is responsible for managing and coordinating the digital health services provided by Children's Urgent Care. This includes assisting in recruiting and orienting new telehealth providers, giving recommendations regarding the staffing of the platform, and managing virtual Urgent Care provider scheduling. This lead also maintains oversight of child/family experience over the online UC program and provides input on digital health provider performance and improvement efforts. The Provider Lead for Telehealth in UC leads initiatives to fully involve Children's Urgent Care providers in digital health planning, implementation and evaluation for quality outcomes.

Essential Functions - Physician

- Works as a casual, hourly provider at the in-person Children’s Urgent Care locations providing direct acute pediatric care to help with staffing holes.
- On average, 50% of the 0.5 FTE for this position will be spent staffing the online Urgent Care Platform or assisting with:
- With the Director of Digital Health, oversee the implementation plan for clinical digital health programs in Urgent Care, and advise on educational and service-related initiatives that involve delivering care remotely.
- Coordinates and provides support to the UC medical director for aligning the UC digital health initiatives with the overall organizational strategy.
- Provide guidance on the potential uses of digital health, including both opportunities and limitations. Serve as a resource for providers who are interested in participating in digital health as a new care delivery model.
- Act as liaison to the medical community, providing education regarding the appropriate applications and opportunities provided by the digital health programs in Urgent Care.
- Responsible for evaluation of UC digital health initiatives to guide clinical efficacy, patient experience, access, and safety and health outcomes in digital health initiatives.
- Responsible for evaluation of provider performance in collaboration with each provider’s direct leader while participating in UC digital health initiatives.

Education:

- Terminal Degree (PhD, MD, etc.) MD required

Experience:

- 5+ years post grad clinical experience in pediatric acute care preferred or relevant education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Must be a member in good standing of the Medical/Dental Staff of Children’s Hospital. Maintains unrestricted license to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
- Must have an interest in learning and understanding both best practices and innovative approaches in digital technology.
- Possess credentials in field of pediatrics (Board Eligibility/Certification or relevant qualifications for advanced practice providers).
- Proven professional competence, dependability and medical and personal ethics.
- Demonstrated level of interpersonal negotiation and communication skills necessary to work collaboratively with physicians, practitioners, patients and parent/family members.
- Ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services.

Licenses and Certifications:

- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
