JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: 102614 Profession: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Specialty: Urgent Care NP/PA Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Virginia Richmond, Allen, Midlothian Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 8a-8p 3 shifts/week Reason for Coverage: Supplemental PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Average Daily Volume: 25-50 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Laceration Repair, I&D Foreign Body Removal, Minor Burn Management Skin Lesion Care, Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization Splinting & Casting, Joint Reduction Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing: X-Ray Interpretation, EKG Evaluation, Lab Interpretation Epistaxis Management: Anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery Cerumen impaction removal Airway Support: Nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Licenses: Active Virginia License DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: BLS Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting Clean record Local candidate Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive urgent care to patients of all ages Perform laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal Manage minor burns, skin lesions, and orthopedic injuries (splinting, casting, joint reduction) Interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care labs Provide epistaxis management, cerumen removal, and airway support
