Job Description

URBN is looking for a Transportation Specialist to be responsible for the domestic transportation network in the U.S and Canadian markets. Ensures the timely and effective execution of operating procedures specific to the functional area and mode of transportation. Heavy emphasis will be placed on transload and carrier management, meeting brand objectives, and developing domestic network strategy. Maintain a strong external network of carriers and third-party providers. Additional scope: Assist with other domestic transportation functions, identifies, and implements best practices and continuous improvement, must be able to support other transportation initiatives. Assisting vendors with measuring and managing service providers to deliver exceptional service to brand partners. Build contingency planning and execution processes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day activities related to domestic PO deliveries
  • Primary point of contact for brand and site operations teams
  • Develop and maintain ship and delivery schedules for truckload and LTL providers.
  • Track and trace inbound deliveries
  • Develop and maintain transload and carrier scorecards, manage performance to SLA
  • Develop partnerships with Shared Services groups and Brand stakeholders

Role Qualifications

  • 2+ years Logistics and/or Supply Chain related experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact with all levels, carriers, 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with negotiating and managing Logistics contracts.
  • Familiar with performance management; including scorecards, root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
