Job Description

URBN is seeking an Associate Product Managerto join the development of digital Product Lifecycle experiences.

The Associate Product Manager will work closely with an agile, AI-native engineering team to develop and rollout solutions designed to accelerate our internal product lifecycle. In this role, you will interface with key stakeholders and work alongside a specialized team of data scientists and engineers, converting sophisticated model breakthroughs into functional, production-ready tools. You will manage delivery rhythm for a fast-moving team, stay close to the users who depend on what gets built, and translate what you learn into clear product direction.

You are organized and energized by the work of getting things done. You thrive in fast-moving environments, communicate clearly across craft and technology, and know how to turn ambiguity into action. You bring genuine curiosity to the design and development process — not as a practitioner, but as someone who wants to understand it deeply enough to build tools that actually help.

Role Responsibilities

  • Execute – Drive development management and delivery rhythm for a fast-moving, AI-native development team; keep the team focused, aware and unblocked.
  • Engage – Stay close to end users across URBN brands through discovery sessions, workflow observations, and ongoing feedback loops. Ensure what gets built reflects how they actually work.
  • Analyze – Track adoption, measure tool usage, and identify friction points in the rollout of DPC capabilities. Synthesize data into clear, actionable insight that informs product decisions. Stay connected and up-to-date on the latest in AI model updates and industry changes.
  • Define – Write detailed user stories and business requirements that give the engineering team the clarity they need to build with precision and speed.
  • Align – Partner across Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders to maintain clear priorities and surface emerging needs before they become blockers.
  • Anticipate – Take initiative to identify risks, dependencies, and gaps before they affect the team. Operate with the foresight of a program that is moving fast and evolving in real time.

Role Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, product operations, or a closely related role with direct exposure to an agile development team.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate between engineering detail and business need, and to hold clarity across multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Analytical instinct — comfortable pulling and interpreting usage data, tracking adoption metrics, and building simple analyses independently.
  • Genuine curiosity about craft and the people who practice it. Comfortable spending time with designers and tech designers to understand their workflow, not just their requirements.
  • Passion for innovation and AI, with an interest in how digital tools are transforming the fashion and retail industry.
  • Experience in fashion, apparel, or adjacent creative workflow tools — PLM systems, 3D design software, digital asset management — is a meaningful advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Product Management, Design, Business, or a related field.
