Job Summary:

Requires self-motivation to handle situations and initiate help from others when needed. Must be an advocate for the customer. This position is responsible for the organization, direction, execution, and tracking of applicable engineered equipment and orders from TIC customers. The Account Manager will work with members from other departments within TIC and outside sources as necessary. The Account Manager will see orders through until final acceptance by the end users. This position is the single point of contact for all inquiries regarding orders, both from within TIC and externally. Regular order status reports must be filed with TIC and customers. This position encompasses a high level of responsibility and the ability to interact with members on cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the key liaison for specific accounts and manages assigned clients based on complexity and/or skill level.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with the assigned customers and also the Toshiba sales person.
  • Must present themselves professionally to the customer at all times.
  • Ability to quote and handle moderate complexity orders and configured projects.
  • Coordinates activities of marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and service groups as it pertains to the orders.
  • Ability to answer simple technical questions.
  • Ability to provide information and appropriate solutions with limited help to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer escalations with help.
  • Travel to customer/site visits with Sales or Manager.
  • May have limited training responsibility.
  • Reviews orders to ensure alignment between TIC's commitments and Customer's PO. Brings attention to discrepancies.
  • Manages orders from initial contact to completion and after if help is needed.
  • Establishes realistic expectations for the customers in regards to their requests and orders.
  • Ensures that adequate resources are applied to the orders and deliverables are met.
  • Understands ISO requirements in regards to invoicing, progress payments, and title transfers.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Travel:

  • 5% to 10%

Skills/Experience:

  • 2-8 Years in the Industry with Direct Experience Managing Customer Accounts.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Applicable Equipment.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Applicable Industry Standards and Terminology.
  • Excellent Problem Solving and Interpersonal Skills. Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Invoicing experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of Oracle.
  • Familiar with Salesforce.
  • Must have intermediate level MS Excel and basic Word, general computer knowledge and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced results driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful, analytical, adaptable and organize.
  • Must be flexible and willing to accept changes in work assignments as necessary.
  • Strong service orientation with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers,
  • office management, and outside business partners.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Equivalent Work Experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, squat, or bend. Also, occasionally may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature.
  • 75% of time spent in temperature-controlled environment.
  • Occasionally time spent in manufacturing plant with potential exposure to possible hazards, including high voltage, noise, heavy machinery, and inclement weather.
