
The Upholstery Product Developer will be responsible for assisting in the development of new products from concept to creation. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong sense of design, crafting knowledge/understanding, and experience with AutoCAD and/or OptiTex. In addition, drive, detail orientation, and flexibility are also key attributes to consider when stepping into this role.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborates to understand and interpret product concepts.
Develop, cut, and adjust patterns using CAD software
Makes and maintains product specifications for each new style.
Works with outside vendors to coordinate product materials for new styles and one-time customs.
Conduct thorough quality assessment at each stage of the development process to ensure adherence to design standards and specifications.
Stays abreast of industry trends, materials, and techniques to continually enhance product quality and innovation.
Works closely with each department to ensure seamless execution of the product.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
The ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for up to eight hours or more daily
Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable multi-tasking, or, pivoting between tasks as the need arises
Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change
A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers
Must be able to have technical drawing/CAD experience. Proficient in 2D or 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, and/or OptiTex)
Experience/Certifications/Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have 3 - 5 years of experience with High-end Upholstered Furniture Pattern making.
AutoCAD Certification
Proficiency in CAD software with 1 - 3 years of experience (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, OptiTex)

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
Requires lifting 0-25 lbs continuously, 25-50 lbs occasionally.
