Job Description

Upgrades & Conversions Specialist

Reporting to the Director, Upgrades & Conversions, the Upgrades & Conversions Specialist supports the development, promotion, and execution of upgrade and conversion opportunities for customers. The role works closely with sales, engineering, service, estimating, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, maintain upgrade programs, and support customer engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in departmental meetings and training activities to support the objectives of the Upgrades & Conversions team.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental systems, processes, and procedures; assist in the development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor and maintain upgrade opportunities within the CRM system, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate documentation.
  • Track and report on upgrade activity, including quote turnaround times, key opportunities, and customer engagement status.
  • Prepare and review upgrade quotations and provide estimating support as required.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Service, and Estimating teams to identify and develop targeted upgrade opportunities.
  • Support the management of targeted upgrade, modernization, and end-of-life programs, including maintaining related documentation and databases.
  • Identify equipment obsolescence risks and work with internal stakeholders to develop upgrade solutions and market strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns related to upgrades, conversions, and modernization initiatives.
  • Coordinate customer site visits and support customer relationship development activities in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Lead and support optimizer and controls upgrade initiatives by maintaining a strong understanding of available technologies and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to new Upgrades & Conversions team members.

Qualifications

  • Technical, engineering, or equivalent industry experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, or industrial equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and develop customer-focused upgrade solutions.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, quotations, and project coordination.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Regular work schedule of approximately 40 hours per week, with additional hours as required to meet business needs.
  • Flexible start and end times with consistent work schedules expected.
  • Travel to customer and company locations may be required.
  • Salary range of 70 000$ to 110 000$ annually.
