This department typically working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Once trained, this position may be able to work from home 2 days/week.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Summary: This team will be responsible for completing the items that are listed under the Essential Duties & Responsibilities section. This position requires some independent thinking to process assigned tasks as this team deals with many odd payment/loan processing items. At times, in-depth research may need to be done to ensure that items are fully resolved and prevent future issues of a similar nature. SWAP and Participation items need to be handled carefully, since they not only impact the bank and client, but investors as well.

Interaction Requirements with internal and external clients:

This position requires a significant amount of communication with internal and external clients. Internally the interaction would be with Business Banking Loan Officers, Business Banking Administrative Assistants (AA’s), Consumer & Commercial Loan Workout Department, Consumer and Commercial Residential Construction, and branch staff. Externally, interaction would typically be with clients (borrowers), participation banks and our vendor Derivative Path.

The Associate will be expected to work on routine tasks following procedures and may occasionally involve non-standard assignments. This person will have a rotating tasks list to share with the Specialist.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Daily

• Commercial Loans –
• Ensure any commercial loan payments or incoming wire payments are posted correctly with interest paid current & due dates roll appropriately.
• Verify loan balances and undisbursed amounts to post commercial draws
• Review the report for Commercial lines of credit paid to zero, to determine whether the line should remain open to further draws or be closed.
• Unposted Payment Transactions –
• Research reasons for DDA, CL, IL, ML, and RC Unposteds and properly process in core
• Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) –
• HELOC draw report - Monitor HELOC draws/advances to protect the Bank from monetary loss
• Regular Payment & Payoff Postings –
• Notify branch managers of teller posting issues.
• Monitor the participation_group email for payment corrections
• Processing incoming wire payments/payoffs for Commercial loans and forward any incoming wires to payment group for mortgage and consumer loans.
• Work with Consumer Loan Workout for any mis-postings and make corrections when necessary
• GL Items –
• Clear any outstanding items being carried in the loan suspense GL’s
• Payments to be posted
• Wires to be posted
• Wires to be sent out
• Payment/Payoff corrections
• Miscellaneous input requests for payments and file maintenance to loans
• Participation Loans (Special Commercial Loans) –
• CL Participation Bought Loans: monitoring payments posted and draw funds are wired in.
• CL Participation Sold Loans: ensure wire payments to participating banks are sent in a timely manner.

Monthly-

• Commercial Loan - SWAP payment posting (1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th)
• Commercial Loan - SWAP notice creation & mailing (1st, 5th, 10th, 15th ,20th, 25th)
• Consumer Loan Workout Bankruptcy & Forbearance Payment postings

Annually

• Will process stop payments and reissue official checks as part of the Escheatment process

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:

• Basic analytical thinking skills to complete a diverse set of tasks that are moderately complex- such as loan processing corrections, which entail high level recalculations.
• Decision making skills- must be able to demonstrate initiative and use good judgement to make decisions that protect the Bank’s best interest while being regulatory compliant to the client.
• Proficiency at Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook, Team’s, SharePoint, OneNote
• Ability to use office equipment, copier, fax, calculator, etc.
• Effective written/verbal communication skills
• Highly detailed & exceptional follow-through to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of Loan Servicing experience
