Job Description

As an USV Engineer you will play a key role in advancing our capabilities in hydrography and aquatic drone technology.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize electromechanical systems for aquatic drones used in hydrographic surveys.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication systems into drone platforms.
• Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of electromechanical systems with software components.
• Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for all design and development activities.
• Maintain accurate records of design iterations, testing results, and improvements.
• Ensure that all electromechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in certification processes and audits as necessary.
• You have min 5 years of relevant experience.
• You have an engineering degree with preference to maritime industry or electrical/mechanical engineering.
• You have proven experience in electromechanical design.
• Knowledge of maritime environment or hydrographic survey techniques and equipment is a plus.
• You have a good knowledge of English and Dutch.
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe.
• Communication skills in reading and writing for creating documentation and reports.
