Job Description

We are now looking for a commercially minded University Partner Manager (UPM) to help us grow, develop and activate our university network across Europe.

This is a commercial partnership role combining account management, business development and student activation.

You will own a portfolio of university partners, develop relationships with decision-makers, identify opportunities to grow the partnership and drive measurable results for both the university and its students.

At the same time, you will help expand our network by identifying new universities, pitching JobTeaser, negotiating with decision-makers and closing new partnerships.

You’ll report to the Head of International University Partnerships and work closely with our University, Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams.

We prefer candidates who can work from our Cologne office 3 days per week, although fully remote contracts are also possible.

What you’ll do

Grow and develop existing partnerships

• Own a portfolio of university partners and act as their strategic and commercial partner.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior university decision-makers.
• Understand each university’s priorities and proactively identify opportunities to create more value with JobTeaser.
• Commercialise new JobTeaser modules, products and services.
• Drive partner retention and reduce churn by demonstrating measurable impact.
• Monitor KPIs such as student activation, engagement, NPS, retention and revenue, and turn insights into action plans.
• Develop and execute student activation strategies and strategic projects together with university partners.
• Lead partner meetings, workshops and events when relevant.

Win new university partnerships

• Build and manage a qualified pipeline of prospective universities.
• Identify and contact university decision-makers through outbound prospecting, networking and referrals.
• Lead discovery meetings and understand the university’s challenges and priorities.
• Present and pitch JobTeaser’s value proposition to different stakeholders.
• Develop commercial proposals, negotiate terms and close new partnerships.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, partnerships or a similar commercial role.
• Proven experience building and developing B2B partnerships and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong consultative selling skills and confidence leading commercial conversations.
• A track record of achieving measurable targets such as revenue, retention, expansion or new business.
• Comfortable being both a farmer and a hunter: developing existing relationships while proactively creating new opportunities.
• Highly organised, data-driven and able to manage both a partner portfolio and an active sales pipeline.
• Understanding of higher education, universities or EdTech is a strong plus.
• Bilingual German & Fluent English are required. Spanish is a strong plus.

Most importantly, you are commercially driven, proactive and relationship-oriented. You enjoy understanding customer challenges, finding solutions, asking for the business and building partnerships that last.
