
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Headache Neurology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Eligible in Neurology. Completion of Neurology residency and headache fellowship in the USA is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents and headache fellows in the outpatient clinic and instructing clinical residents, fellows in allied specialties such as ENT, pain management, internal medicine, and family medicine. Teaching didactics in the resident curriculum and in the preclinical Brain and Behavior course also are provided.
Clinical responsibilities may include maintaining personal clinics at Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, which would include clinical visits and procedural visits. Faculty are also expected to provide attending coverage for resident clinics at HUP. Participation in clinical trial recruitment, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives is encouraged.
