University, Cybersecurity Analyst

The Opportunity:

Contribute to the evolving field of cybersecurity and help organizations stay ahead of threats. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you'll learn to collect, process, and analyze information to enhance security measures and address real-world security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risks with experienced professionals. You'll collaborate on projects, gain hands-on data analysis experience, document findings, and present your work to leaders. Your contributions will shape security solutions for clients across various industries in the commer cial space.

This role includes e ngaging cybersecurity challenges inspired by real-world events from the past decade. From securing critical infrastructure to analyzing emerging threats, these challenges are designed to test and enhance the skills needed to defend against cyber adversaries. You will assume various cybersecurity roles, including Security Analyst, Incident Responder, Threat Intelligence Analyst, Data Scientist, and Risk Manager. Each role brings unique skills and perspectives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity.

You Have:

• Experience conducting basic cybersecurity research or analysis

• Experience with Micro soft Office, including tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams

• Experience using scripting or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash for class projects, assignments, or personal projects

• Ability to work independently and in teams to research and propose solutions

• Ability to review, write, and discuss highly technical documentation

• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2027

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in cybersecurity analysis, security operations, or incident response

• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices

• Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to rapidly changing technology and cybersecurity threats

• Ability to capture and communicate business and technical concepts, challenges, and solutions

• Possession of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
