The Unit Secretary is responsible for the secretarial aspects of the nursing unit. She/he acts as a support person to the nursing staff and other members of the health care team for indirect aspects of patient care. This position functions as a pivotal communication link between the health care team, other departments and patients and families.
EDUCATION:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous employment in an office or health care environment.
This is a bargaining union position.
