Unit Secretary - 5N Tele

Full Time

8 Hour - Day Shift

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, 5 North Telemetry, this position assists in maintaining a smooth functioning unit. The Unit Secretary transcribes physician orders, answers the telephone, greets and assists people who arrive on the unit, assists with admissions and discharges, and maintains the desk area as an efficient work area.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Twelve to eighteen months of experience as a secretary in an acute care setting or successful completion of a medical terminology course is required.
3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
4. Computer data entry experience is required.
5. Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, family, visitors, and physicians under routine and stressful situations are required

PAY RANGE

$23.50 - 31.53
