Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Unit Nurse Leader (UNL) will act as a resource and provide support and oversight of the nursing unit's daily operations. The UNL will also serve as a liaison between nursing leadership and the frontline staff, playing a pivotal role in quality and nursing initiatives, along with other assigned duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the below. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Serves as a resource for the frontline staff, the UNL must be knowledgeable of clinical skills, nursing policy, and procedures
2. Consistently rounds on staff, new hires, preceptors, patients, and families
3. Assists with educational initiatives and in-services as needed
4. Serves as a “Super User” for the nursing unit (i.e. IV, Pyxis, IV Pump, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• ASN required; BSN preferred and strongly encouraged to obtain
• 1 year of nursing experience at Gaylord Hospital required
• Current CT RN license required
• BLS & ACLS Certifications required
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours, days, 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday,
