As the Unit Module Development engineer (Technology Transfer), you will play a crucial role in transferring unit module processes to receiving fab. The responsibilities include:

  • Organize a Technology Transfer workshop, coordinate module & process level break-up session. Coordinate unit module level transfer meeting between POR and receiving Fab.

  • Unit Module Process Transfer & Optimization: Ensuring that proven processes are effectively transferred from receiving Fab from qualification to full-scale production. This involves scaling up processes while maintaining product quality and consistency.

  • Equipment Setup & Calibration: Overseeing the installation, calibration, and validation of unique equipment in receiving Fab. To ensure that the equipment operates according to specifications and meets process requirements.

  • Documentation & Standardization: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including process recipes, work instructions, CAS and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the receiving fab to follow.

  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the transfer of technology, such as process matching, process deviations or quality control problems, to minimize downtime

  • Training & Support: Providing training and ongoing support to receiving fab on new processes, technologies, and equipment. You may also assist with troubleshooting and refining techniques during the early stages of production.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with POR & receiving fab process engineers, process integration engineers, and quality control teams to ensure the successful transfer of technology and troubleshooting of any issues that arise during production.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements or optimization once the technology has been transferred to production. They often participate in initiatives to improve yield, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

  • Risk Management: Ensuring that the transfer of technology does not introduce new risks or issues into the manufacturing process. This involves rigorous risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the unit module process meets the required quality standards and specifications, and collaborating with quality teams to address any issues, process changes that affect product performance or compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in the semiconductor industry (Min 5 – 10 years module engineering) or related field

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.

  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor market dynamics in Greater China.

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Provide consistent and clear communications between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the senior leadership team.

  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.

  • Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) and English is required, written & verbal.
