Unit Manager LPN

Volare Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with strong clinical and supervisory experience to join our team as a Unit Manager

The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit while ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to promote quality resident care, clinical excellence, and a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned nursing unit.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
  • Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and nursing practices.
  • Assist with staff development, education, and performance coaching.
  • Promote compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to address resident needs.
  • Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Support infection prevention, quality assurance, and resident safety initiatives.
  • Help create a positive, accountable, and team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices.
  • Understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or other healthcare setting required.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and clinical skills.
  • Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
