Job Description

To support the practice of nursing and the delivery of nursing care through use of a combination of direct patient care, communication modes, and clerical functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Fiscal Re sponsibility

Patie nt Sati sfaction

  • Pro mote patient satisfaction as exe mplified by patient recognition, letters from patie nts and families, or SEA(Servi ce Excellence Award)
  • Ti mely response to patient needs
  • Practice professional use of personal electronic devices in patient care areas and keep noise to a mini mum at all ti mes
  • Exe mpli fies excellent g uest r el ations to patients, fa mily members, and visit ors
  • Purposeful patient rounding

Patient Safety

  • Practice safe patie nt mobilization and incorporate fall preve ntion int erventio ns
  • Use 2 patient identifiers with a ll tasks and point of care testing
  • Utilize the event manage ment system for each u nusual occ urrence
  • Adjust care routines to meet t he indi vidual p atie nt needs in the role of UC or UCA as assigned
  • Adhere to HIPAA and follow social media policy

Professional Growth

  • Pro mote commi tment to co-workers, view all staff as part of an equal team and be approachable at all ti mes, and maintain interdepart mental
  • Relationships
  • Provide holistic care for all types of diverse patient populations

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Basic BLS: must obtain within 3 months of hire
