Compensation: $17.50 / hour
Keep Care Flowing Smoothly as a Unit Clerk
Full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.
As a Unit Clerk in our adult psychiatric hospital, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Wellness Team and ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care. You’ll help maintain organization and communication across the unit through a variety of clerical, scheduling, and coordination tasks that keep our care environment running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support including filing, scheduling, data collection, and transcribing orders
- Answer unit telephones and assist with communication across the care team
- Assemble and maintain patient charts from admission through discharge
- Prepare and post On-Duty schedules for medical staff
- Order and maintain unit supplies as needed
- Document and distribute committee meeting minutes promptly
- Provide backup coverage to other clerical positions as needed
- Support and maintain the Work Therapy program to help residents build job-readiness and engagement skills
- Participate in ongoing training, facility committees, and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program
- Assist with physical intervention techniques when required and participate in mandatory overtime
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School/GED required
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Medical terminology education or secretarial skills preferred
- Computer experience required
- Must possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to manage multiple priorities and stressors
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively
- Requires the ability to work effectively and safely with adults who may experience behavioral or emotional crises
