Supports the nursing staff by performing specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. Assist and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respects patient’s rights.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:Required:High school diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of a Nurse Aide training program,OR 6 months experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Healthcare facility, OR completion of fundamentals of nursing, if enrolled in a Nursing programBLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American ed Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start datePreferred:Current State of Michigan CNA certificationPrevious data entry experienceWeekend/Holiday Requirements:Selected candidate will be required to work weekends 2 & 4 of the 28-day schedule, as well as the Holiday B rotation.
