The Unit-Based Nurse Clinician develops and organizes educational activities around evidenced-based best practices to ensure that clinical staff are able to provide high quality safe care to our patients. The Clinician for the Cath Lab develops an orientation curriculum for new staff and monitors their progress throughout the orientation period. This role also collaborates with the Department Manager and Team Leaders to develop and track continuing education for on-going competency validation. This role requires knowledge and clinical proficiency in the Cath Lab setting, including growth and development. Excellent communication and clinical skills are needed, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively with staff in order to promote a learning environment as well as ongoing process improvement.
