We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Manager to join the UniShop team located on the University of Wollongong main campus. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in a unique retail environment that provides textbooks, books, merchandise, stationary, gifts, accessories and more to the campus community.
Working closely with the UniShop Manager, you'll help lead day-to-day operations of the store while taking ownership of our textbook adoptions, book buying, inventory management and customer experience. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to exciting initiatives including book clubs, author events, product development and promotions.
We're committed to flexibility. This role is available as either a full or part-time position (4 or 5 days)
About the Role
As the Assistant Manager, you'll be second-in-charge of UniShop and play an integral role in ensuring the store operates efficiently, commercially and professionally. You'll work collaboratively with University academics, publishers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to coordinate textbook requirements while helping deliver an engaging retail experience for students, staff and the wider community.

Experience in book retailing, publishing, education or the tertiary textbook sector will be highly regarded, as will experience using Booknet or similar inventory systems.
