
LeMay PCR, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class B Front Load Commercial Driver to join our team in Frederickson, Washington.
This union position is represented by Teamsters Local 313 and plays a key role in delivering reliable waste and recycling services to the local community.
Compensation and Schedule
Starting pay: $30.49 per hour (91% of full union scale)
Full-scale pay: $33.51 per hour per Teamsters Local 313 agreement
Schedule: Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays based on business needs, averaging approximately 45 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class B front-load garbage truck on assigned residential and commercial routes in varying traffic and weather conditions
Service all assigned customers on route sheets or as directed by dispatch, maintaining efficiency and productivity throughout the workday
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete basic vehicle maintenance, including checking and adding fluids, inspecting tires, and verifying safety equipment
Operate hydraulic controls to lift, load, and empty heavy refuse containers into the truck, often repeatedly throughout the shift
Work independently to complete full routes, including getting in and out of the truck frequently and performing tasks without helper assistance
Handle carts and containers that may be overloaded, unevenly distributed, or difficult to maneuver
Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers while working in fast-paced, physically demanding environments
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and DOT regulations at all times
Perform additional duties as assigned to support route completion and operational needs
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
This is a highly physical, labor-intensive position requiring consistent movement throughout the day
Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and maneuver objects weighing 50 pounds or more, with frequent heavy exertion
Frequent climbing in and out of the cab, as well as walking on uneven surfaces, and working around large equipment
Extended periods of sitting, driving, and operating equipment, combined with frequent physical activity
Regular exposure to outdoor elements, including rain, cold, heat, and humidity, as well as dust, odors, and noise
Work performed in proximity to moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
At least two years of relevant commercial driving or related experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic mechanical knowledge to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
