Unified Communications Manager (80-100%)

The Unified Communications Manager is responsible for the governance, operational performance, service quality, compliance, and continuous evolution of the Bank's Unified Communications (UC) services.

Combining operational leadership (RUN) and tactical management (CHANGE), the role ensures communication services remain reliable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

The position leads a team of 4 Unified Communications Engineers and owns the UC ecosystem, including Microsoft Teams Phone System, Cisco Telephony, SIP & SBC services, Teams Rooms, Communication Recording platforms, Contact Center services, Trading Communication Solutions, Digital Event Platforms, Voice Infrastructure Governance, and UC Monitoring & Analytics.

YOUR ROLE

Operational Excellence & Team Leadership

  • Own the availability, stability, performance, and lifecycle management of UC services.
  • Ensure service reliability, resilience, user satisfaction, and operational risk reduction through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Lead incident, problem, risk, and escalation management, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Define and maintain operational processes, documentation, capacity planning, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Coordinate service delivery with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 UC Engineers, managing priorities, resources, performance, and professional development.
  • Manage and oversee Digital Event Platforms & Webcasting Solutions
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Success is measured through service availability, SLA/KPI achievement, user satisfaction, operational risk reduction, team engagement, and delivery of operational objectives.

Tactical, Transformation & Governance

  • Execute the UC roadmap in line with business objectives.
  • Drive modernization, automation, cost optimization, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Lead transformation programs across telephony, collaboration, recording, contact center, and communication services.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal requirements in partnership with Risk, Compliance, Security, and Audit teams.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, controls reviews, and remediation activities, including communication recording compliance.

Success is measured through roadmap delivery, adoption of new capabilities, operational efficiency gains, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and risk reduction.

YOUR PROFILE

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in Unified Communications or related technologies, including Microsoft Teams Telephony, Microsoft 365, Cisco UC, SIP, VoIP, SBCs, voice routing, dial plans, and telephony architectures.
  • Experience with communication recording platforms, regulatory recording requirements, and video conferencing/meeting room solutions.
  • Good understanding of Identity & Access Management (Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory).
  • Microsoft Teams Voice certification preferred.
  • Cisco Voice certification is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent Service Management experience.

  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Proven ability to balance operational excellence with strategic initiatives and deliver complex cross-functional projects.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Service-oriented and customer-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in a highly regulated financial environment.
  • Able to engage effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership while promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
