We are looking for a Unified Communications Engineer (Microsoft Teams Voice, to play a key role in Managing, implementing, operating and continuously improving enterprise voice and telephony services, with Microsoft Teams Phone as the strategic platform.

In this exciting position, you will plan and deliver country rollouts, migrations, platform enhancements and service transition activities that help drive efficiency and impact on our communication system.

You will report directly to the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure. Based in Polinyà, Spain, you will collaborate with global stakeholders across Cloud & Infrastructure, Workplace Services, Network Services, Service Desk, Cyber Security, Legal, Privacy and Procurement.

  • Own and enhance our Microsoft Teams Phone platform, supporting a modern and reliable communication experience for colleagues across the globe.
  • Manage and optimize voice infrastructure, including PSTN connectivity, SIP trunks, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and SBC environments.
  • Partner with telecom providers to oversee number management, migrations, and global telephony services.
  • Solve complex technical challenges related to telephony, acting as the expert escalation point for critical voice service incidents.
  • Drive governance, compliance, and best practices while creating documentation and empowering IT teams through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

  • Proven experience in enterprise voice, unified communications, telecommunications, and cloud infrastructure, with a strong track record of delivering and supporting business-critical communication services.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Teams Phone in a complex enterprise environment, including the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of modern voice solutions.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise telephony technologies, including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, PSTN connectivity, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), dial plans, voice routing, call queues, auto attendants, and emergency calling.
  • Experience working with telecom providers and carriers, managing number provisioning, international number porting, service migrations, and supplier relationships across multiple countries.
  • Ability to navigate global telephony environments, with an awareness of regional voice regulations, compliance requirements, and operational considerations.
  • Familiarity with contact center platforms such as Genesys or NICE is considered an advantage.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching, Quality of Service (QoS), firewalls, NAT, VoIP protocols, and network troubleshooting. The ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages will be considered an asset.
