Our client is looking for seasoned professionals to become part of their team:
1. Manage Underwriting & Reinsurance operation:
- Support HoD in managing and overseeing underwriting (UW) and reinsurance (RI) activities to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements and Company’s strategy and policies.
- Provide underwriting and reinsurance technical advice for the Marketing department to make proper
offers to customers.
- Implement underwriting audit.
- Supervise portfolio analysis, underwriting results and performance; consolidate findings, report and
propose corrective actions to superiors when necessary.
- Manage UW Guideline and all underwriting-related manual guides in respect of Insurance Products.
2. Products development and management, reports, analysis:
- Participate in developing, reviewing & revamping new products, tariff, wordings of policies, terms &
conditions for new markets, clients, business projects, etc.
- Coordinate with Actuary and relevant department on pricing methodology and product performance
evaluation
- Support product registration and amendment processes with regulatory authorities as assigned.
- Support HoD in managing, monitoring, and consolidating UWRI data; prepare UWRI reports as required
by the job.
3. Governance tasks.
- Manage standard Policy wording/ clauses and forms of insurance products.
- Work with Compliance, Risk Management, and other departments to ensure UWRI activities comply with
laws, internal regulations, and Management direction.
4. People Management & development:
- Support the Head of Department in organizing, assigning tasks, monitoring, and evaluating the
performance of team members.
- Provide training and professional development for staff.
5. Participate in projects related to underwriting and reinsurance.
6. Other duties as required by the job or assigned by superior.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher;
- Experience: At least 7 years of working experience in the non-life insurance industry, including a minimum
of 2 years in team management;
- Professional knowledge: Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance products and market;
- Excellent ability of risk analysis and evaluation;
- Good project management skill;
- Effective interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skill;
- Adept use of MS Office;
- Fluent English
