About the Company:

Our client, an international P&I club, is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to support their Asia based Underwriting team and to provide comprehensive support to Underwriters in the administration and processing of P&I insurance matters.

Role Responsibilities:

• Preparing and issuing quotes, policy documents, and certificates
• Maintaining accurate records in underwriting systems
• Reviewing correspondence and resolving underwriting issues
• Supporting renewal negotiations and screening accounts
• Handling customer and team enquiries
• Producing trading certificates and debit/credit notes
• Liaising with internal teams, brokers, and clients
• Performing ad hoc tasks as needed

About You:

• Holds a degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a maritime-related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in marine insurance underwriting support
• Proven background working with P&I Clubs, legal firms, shipowners, ship agents, or maritime insurance/brokering
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Familiarity with insurance systems such as EDMS or BPMS is an advantage
• Highly organized and methodical, with the ability to produce accurate work under pressure
