Role Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to partner in the development and execution of the Mexico Financial Lines underwriting strategy and support the Active Underwriter and the wider underwriting community across Everest Global Markets in its delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
Underwrite and price Financial Lines risks and determine the acceptability of risks
Prepare quotations and formal proposals on new and renewal business
Deliver a high level of response time and service quality to clients and brokers
Bind coverages subject to authority level and answer inquiries from producers
Ensure that documentation is completed timely and accurately according to standards with Financial Lines underwriting and departmental workflow systems and processes.
Expand the Financial Lines portfolio in line with controls, underwriting strategy, and guidelines while always maintaining a focus on bottom-line underwriting profit and delivery
Developing and maintaining relationships with key brokers and clients
Assist the Head of Financial Lines in addressing and resolving overdue, workflow, and various clerical issues as necessary
Interact and coordinate activities with other departments
Liaise with other underwriting departments as necessary
Recommend new procedures and programs were warranted
Responsible for complying with proper internal control
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field
2-5 years of professional work experience in a related field.
Advanced English (90% of the activities will be in this language)
Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building and development skills
Motivated and result driven
Analytical thinking
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant IT tools
