We are currently looking for an Underwriter, to join our team based out of our London office. This role sits within our Specialty business supporting the underwriting and development of AmTrust's Legal Expenses Insurance portfolio, with exposure to risks across the UK, Canada, Australia and the US.

From small insolvency matters through to complex, high-value class action cases, you'll gain exposure to a broad and varied caseload while working closely with experienced specialists across underwriting, legal and claims. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have a law degree and a strong background in litigation, gained within a law firm, legal practice or insurance-related environment. We're looking for someone with established litigation experience, strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively as part of a team. Experience working on insurance-related matters is important, whether that has been directly within the insurance sector or through acting on behalf of insurers and handling insurance-backed cases. You'll also have a genuine interest in developing specialist expertise within legal expenses underwriting and be excited by the opportunity to work across a diverse range of complex and high-value matters.
